Mandy Noll currently serves as the K – 12 Mathematics Coordinator for Allen ISD. Mandy has 20 years of experience in education. She has taught 5th through 8th grade math in various school districts in the North Texas area. Prior to taking the Math Coordinator position in Allen, Mandy was a secondary math instructional specialist. She received her undergraduate degree from Austin College, her Masters of Education from Southern Methodist University, and her principal certification from Lamar University.
In her role as math coordinator for Allen ISD, Mandy has worked with district personnel and teacher leaders to implement the new K-12 TEKS. One of the primary goals of the implementation was to align district curriculum, instruction and assessment. An integral part of this alignment has been work around common formative assessment, Depth of Knowledge, conceptual teaching, small group instruction and integrating critical writing in the math classroom. Through research, district professional learning, and collaborative planning, teachers have been trained on how each of these guides instruction to make mathematics accessible to all students.
Mandy holds a Texas Secondary (6-12) Mathematics Teaching certification, a 4-8 Master Mathematics Teacher certification and a Principal certification. She is a member of ASCD, Texas ASCD, NCTM, TCTM, TASM, NCSM, McMath (DFW area mathematics supervisors’ organization) and Learning Forward. She has been actively involved in developing and facilitating professional learning at the campus level and district level for the past 9 years. Also, she has presented at CAMT numerous times, at a Regional NCTM conference, and the 4-8 math classes for all 4-8 generalist and math candidates in Region X’s Teacher Preparation Program. Mandy lives with her husband in Allen, Texas.
