Ramona Davis is currently a Secondary Math Curriculum Specialist with Cypress-Fairbanks ISD in Houston. Her degree is from The University of Texas at Austin. As a classroom teacher, she has been given the opportunity to teach a variety of subjects, including elementary math and science, kindergarten, middle school math, Algebra I and Algebra II in three different school districts in Texas. The majority of her 36 years in education is in secondary math. As a curriculum specialist she writes curriculum, district benchmarks, and writes/conducts professional development in her current district.
Ramona is a member of NCTM, TCTM, TASM, and ASCD and currently serves on several planning committees including NCTM Regional Conference Volunteer Committee, ASCD Local Arrangements Committee, and the 2015 CAMT Program Committee. She is a contributing author for TMT3 Algebra II, Closing the Distance, and MTC Algebra II and a writer for the MSTAR Diagnostic Assessment/Universal Screener. She has been a presenter at CAMT for several years and has served as CAMT Program Chairman in 2012. She has been a TEXTeam trainer, math academy trainer, and has served in a variety of leadership positions at the campus and district level.
