Shere Salinas

Shere Salinas is currently a Secondary Mathematics Specialist for Corpus Christi ISD. Shere has worked in Texas public schools for 24 years including teaching at the elementary and secondary levels prior to her current position in administration. She was a semi-finalist for teacher of the year in CCISD twice. Shere has earned National Board Certification in Early Adolescence Mathematics; only one of 22 in the state.  

She has served as an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christ and was awarded the Texas A&M Chancellor Teaching Excellence Award four times. She has written and received in excess of $2,600,000 in state grants for CCISD.  

Shere has earned a BA from the College of Education at Michigan State University, an MS from the College of Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, and is currently a PhD candidate at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. She would be honored to continue serving as South Regional Director for the Texas Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
